Fort Worth, Texas, October 11, 2004--TTI, Inc. announced today that its North American distribution centers have been registered to AS9100, the international standard for establishing and maintaining a quality management system for the aerospace industry.
According to Rod Spear, TTI Quality Director, the registration was necessary to fulfill the requirement by many of TTI’s top aerospace customers such as Boeing, Honeywell, Cessna and United Technologies. “We’re beginning to see more and more companies requiring registration to this aerospace standard,” Spear said.
TTI is committed to being the leader in providing services to the aerospace industry and by achieving this registration it will give TTI more prominence with many of these companies. He added, “We also feel the benefits derived from registration will raise the bar on the level of service we provide our customers.” This upgrade, is one level higher than ISO 9001:2000, and enhances TTI’s position with global aerospace companies and increases potential business opportunities. In the near future, the distribution center in Munich, Germany will begin working to become registered to AS9100.
In 1993, TTI became one of the first distributors to be ISO 9002 registered. The same year the Europe warehouse became registered as well.
